Mirror-Steel Clear Part Mold
This mirror-steel clear part mold is a special precision mold designed for transparent injection molded parts with high light transmittance and high appearance requirements. Made of high-polishing performance mirror mold steel, processed via multi-axis CNC machining, precision assembly and ultra-mirror polishing, it enables forming of clear parts without flow marks, air bubbles and with high gloss. Widely used in the production of transparent components in optical, medical, consumer electronics and other industries.
- Machining Process: Multi-axis CNC machining, EDM, ultra-mirror polishing, precision assembly
- Material: S136 Mirror Mold Steel (NAK80/STAVAX optional)
- Accuracy: ±0.005 mm
- Surface Finish: Ultra-mirror polish (Ra≤0.02μm)
- Applicable Materials: PC, PMMA, COC and other transparent engineering plastics
We specialize in custom manufacturing of high-precision clear part molds, equipped with 5-axis machining centers, wire-cut EDM, mirror spark machines and ultra-mirror polishing equipment, with over ten years of experience in clear part mold development. The key dimensional tolerance of the mold is stably controlled within ±0.005 mm, with a monthly delivery capacity of 15+ high-precision clear part molds. We provide one-stop services from product structure optimization, mold design, manufacturing to trial molding and delivery, serving customers in optical, medical, consumer electronics and other industries.
Technological Process
- Product & Mold Design: Optimize gate, venting and cooling solutions based on clear part structure, complete 3D mold design and 2D machining drawings.
- Steel Cutting & Rough Machining: Cut S136 mirror steel to size and perform rough milling to remove most of the excess material.
- Semi-finishing & Heat Treatment: Semi-finish the mold components and perform quenching treatment to stabilize S136 hardness at HRC48-52, improving wear resistance and polishing performance.
- Precision Machining: Multi-axis CNC finish the cavity and inserts; wire-cut EDM process holes; EDM finish sharp corners and ribs.
- Ultra-Mirror Polishing: Perform multi-step polishing on the cavity to optical standards, achieving Ra≤0.02μm mirror finish to eliminate flow marks and defects.
- Mold Assembly & Trial Molding: Complete mold assembly, conduct multiple trial moldings and adjustments to ensure light transmittance, appearance and dimensions of clear parts meet requirements before delivery.
